Just the Details...1966 Shelby Restoration 6S033

Our 1966 GT350 Mustang Shelby Restoration project is now in epoxy primer.

As you may have read in our last post, the '66 GT350 Mustang project is now in epoxy primer.  We used the popular PPG DP epoxy primer.  The gray color was used on the body, and black was used in the engine compartment area and dash.  The color for the underside was mixed to be fairly close to the original underside color with the darker red being used under the front frame rails and the interior panels.

The choice of colors is really not important, because the bodywork now needs to be completed.  It looks nice though!  Even the underside of the car will eventually receive a topcoat of paint matched to the original colors along with the associated overspray.

Our 1966 GT350 Mustang Shelby Restoration project is now in epoxy primer.  We chose to mix the colors to achieve a pinkish color for the underside.  This will not be the final finish.
