When the Ford Mustang was introduced in 1964, it obviously became wildly popular very quickly.  Lots of aftermarket suppliers wanted to jump on the band wagon of success and produce parts for the new Mustang.  Some of these parts were not so great, but some were even better than the factory parts offered through Ford.

One of the neatest parts was a set of Floor Mats.  These particular floor mat sets with  white racing stripes were very popular back in the sixties.  We have a great reproduction of these floor mats.  We have been out of them for a while, but they are available and in stock again!

These floor mats feature a molded Running Horse emblem along with molded in White Racing Stripes.  They are great looking mats!  The front driver's side mat even features a trim line for convertible installations.

They are sold in a set of four and are only available in Black with the White Racing Stripes.  Our part number is ST-912.

Shelby Cobra Floor Mats

Being a big fan of stuff from 1960's Shelby American, I found these Cobra Floor Mats extremely interesting.  They appeared in the Shelby American Accessories Parts Catalog in 1966 (and maybe other years, not sure.)

These vinyl floor mats are shaped very much like the Mustang Pony Floor Mats, but they have a round Cobra Snake Emblem.  As you can see in the scan from the Shelby Parts Catalog, they were available in Black, Red and Clear.  They were made for Shelby by a company named Coneco.  This company apparently made after market floor mats for a few automotive companies, because I have heard of ones made with a Triumph logo.

I have never seen another set of  these Cobra Floor Mats.  Please let me know if you have.

Mustang Pony Rubber Floor Mats

What is the most popular and useful accessory for your Mustang? I would say the rubber Pony Floor Mats. These mats were available for your Mustang when it was brand new right from Ford.

There is more than one reproduction on the market. We are pleased to handle the Scott Drake brand, and think that they are far superior to the others.

They are available in Black and other colors. The other colors include Blue, Green, Bright Red, Saddle (Ginger/Tan), and Dark Red (Maroon.)

They are sold in sets of 4 (front and rear included.) The below pictures just show the fronts to give you an idea of the colors available.

Mustang Pony Floor Mats

We finally have the Mustang Rubber Pony Floor Mats in a variety of colors. They are now available in Black, Blue, 65 Red (Bright Red), Dark Red (for 66-69 models), Brown (for Ginger/Palomino/Saddle interiors), and Green (for Ivy Gold interiors.)

These mats sets come as a set of 4. The front mats have the Running Pony Emblems. The backs feature "anti-skid" tips to prevent too much sliding around on your carpet. They are exact duplicates of the original rubber mats that were available from Ford when the Mustangs were new.

Just as the originals, you may wish to trim these mats when using them in a convertible model. Because the convertible has the extra inner rocker panel, the floor is more narrow.

These floor mat sets have always been a favorite, because they offer great protection for your carpet, are easy to clean, and were an original Ford Accessory.
