We have steering box rebuild kits for your 1965, 1966, and 1967 Mustang with the one inch sector shaft, and also kits for 1967-70 Mustangs with the 1 1/8 inch sector shaft.

The kits include the bearings with races, the sector shaft bushings, the bottom seal, and the top cover gasket. 

All parts included are of very nice quality. We have used them for years on our own restorations.

We now have the 69 Mustang Steering Column Lower Cover for both the Fastback (Sportsroof) and Coupe/Convertible models.  There are a few manufacturers of this particular part.  Most make just one version for all of the body styles.  Our supplier now makes one specifically for the fastback.

These are very nice reproductions featuring a nice, heavy plastic construction and the correct grain - just like the original.  They are only available molded in black, but they are paintable if you have another interior color.

In today's Blog Post, I just thought that I would take a look at the detail on some 65-66 Mustang steering boxes.  It is interesting to not that most original steering boxes that we have observed show that they were "blacked out" on the top apparently after installation.  Take a look at our pictures and captions here of a few Mustang steering boxes for more information.

Tag shown here on 65 Mustang Steering Box.  This particular date decodes as 5=1965   B=Feb  03=3rd day of the month.  Sorry, I'm not really sure about the "B."  The HCC AX designation on this particular box is the code for the manual steering quick ratio box that was installed on GT's and GT350's and the option suspension package.
