www.VirginiaClassicMustang.com
We now have the crush tubes that weld inside of the Mustang rear frame rails.  These were originally installed in the rear frame rails of 65-70 Mustangs equipped with the factory dual exhaust.  They provided extra strength at the holes where the rear exhaust hangers are mounted.

Our part number is SM-1031.  They are sold as a pair.

New Parts! Complete Mustang Convertible Rear Wheel House Assemblies

Mustang Convertible Complete Wheel House Assembly

We now have complete rear wheel house assemblies for both the 65-66 and 67-68 Mustang convertibles.  This complete unit consists of the inner and outer rear wheel house pieces.  The convertible models are unique in that they have a flattened area on the top of the inner wheel house.  This flattened area is needed for clearance for the folding convertible top when it is in the lowered position.

Our part numbers are as follows:

SM-9451L   65-66 Mustang Convertible LH Complete Rear Wheel House Assembly
SM-9451R   65-66 Mustang Convertible RH Complete Rear Wheel House Assembly

SM-9461L   67-68 Mustang Convertible LH Complete Rear Wheel House Assembly
SM-9461R   67-68 Mustang Convertible RH Complete Rear Wheel House Assembly

New Parts! 1965 and 1966 Mustang Floor Pan Reinforcements for Dual Exhaust

1965 and 1966 Mustang Dual Exhaust Floor Pan Reinforcement Plates
www.VirginiaClassicMustang.com

The GT, HiPo, GT350 Shelby, and other Mustangs with factory dual exhaust originally had a reinforcement plate welded on the rear floor underneath the rear seat.  This plate's purpose was to provide reinforcement for the muffler hangers that hung from here.

There was a plate on each side.  The '65 Mustang plate is different from the '66 only because the '65 does not have the extra hole for inside rear seat belt mount.  These new plates are made in the USA out of the proper gauge metal.  Care has even been taken to duplicate the original wrinkles on the bottom halves.  Holes are properly placed and drilled in each piece.

Here is the listing:

1968 Mustang Fastback Quarter Panel Assembly

1968 Mustang Fastback Full Quarter Panel Assembly.
www.VirginiaClassicMustang.com

We have had great luck with our full quarter panels for the '68 Mustang Fastback, but they have previously only been available in the late production style that used the bolt on style quarter panel reflector.

We now have the 68 Mustang Fastback quarters for the early production 1968's.  These quarters are like the others in that they nice reproductions of the Ford full quarter panel sheet metal.  These early style quarters have the indentation for the early style quarter reflector that used the body color painted bezel.  The transition occurred around February of 1968.

Here are the part numbers:

Just the Details...1965-66 Mustang Rear Valances

Ford NOS Mustang rear valance with round mounting holes.

This is one of these "geeky" posts about those little tiny details that I like to learn about on '65 and '66 Mustangs.

Original assembly line Mustang rear valance with oval mounting holes.
www.VirginiaClassicMustang.com

The original, assembly line Mustang rear valance had slotted, oval mounting holes.  I have found that the Ford NOS (service part) valances just have round holes and the reproductions are the same.  It is a possibility that the really early Ford parts had the oval holes, but I've never seen one.

Date stamping on original 65-66 Mustang rear valance.  This particular stamping reads "12  8  2C."  The "12" represents December.  "8" is the day of the month.  "2C" may have been a shift number.  The year was not used.

Like most all sheet metal on a Mustang, the rear valance was also stamped with a date.

Mustang Metal Drain Hole Covers

We have had the 65-67 Metal Floor Pan Drain Hole Covers for the Mustang available for quite some time. They are technically correct for just the 65-67 Mustangs, but most owners always used them for any year from 1965 to 1973. They will fit and function perfectly in any of those models.

We now have the correct ones though. The 68-70 Drain plugs are shaped differently from the 65-67 ones. Now they are available as part number SM-1112.

1968 Mustangs use 4 per car. 1969-70 Mustangs use 2 per car, and vehicles equipped with staggered shocks require an addition 1 for the trunk reinforcement. 1971-73 Mustangs use 2. (Please note that these covers are not the 100% correct shape for 1971-73 model years, but they are very close.)

Mustang Complete Inner and Outer Rocker Panels

There has been lots of interest in sheet metal for those winter Mustang projects. Here is a brand new part: 1965-66 Convertible Complete Inner and Outer Rocker Panel Assembly. Just as the description says, this is the complete inner and outer rocker welded together.

It is sold as part number SM1123R and SM1123L.

We also have the 1967-68 versions of this part: SM1121R and SM1121L.

1967-68 Coupe and Fastback Complete Rocker Panel Assemblies are also available as part number SM1122R and SM1122L. Of course, the Coupes and Fastbacks do not have inner rocker panels like convertibles.

We now have the 1968 OE Style Full Quarter Panel Assemblies for Fastback Mustangs in stock. These are the late production style without the rear reflector indentation.
