Just the Details...1966 Shelby GT350 Restoration and Koni Shocks

We've recently had a few folks ask about the location of the decals on the Koni Shocks.  For those not as familiar with the '65 and '66 GT350 Shelbys, the '65's and earlier '66's came with Koni Shocks.

The shocks sported a winged Koni decal, which we have had accurately reproduced.  Our part number is DF-2015.  You can click here to order.  Please note that while we had quite a few of these made for our first run, they are about all gone.  If there is sufficient interest, we will do another run. Here are a few pictures of the 4 65 (April 1965) shocks from 6S033.  These shocks had the original paint, and these photos show the original location of the decals - on these particular shocks at least.

Mustang Engine Code Decals

1965 Mustang 289 HiPo Engine Code Decal.  We have several others available for the various engines in the Mustangs.

I guess this post is for the "detail guys and gals" and show Mustangs.  We have many different Engine Code Decals for the various engines in the Mustangs.

We just got some new ones though.  We now have a wide variety of the engine code decals for the 65-66 Mustangs.

So where were these decals originally mounted?  Well, on 1965 Mustangs, they were usually installed on the bottom water pump outlet where the lower hose attaches.  Here is a picture showing that.

On the 1966 models, they are sometimes seen on the coil and the bracket mounted vertically.

289 High Performance Air Cleaner Decal

Here is a new item that just arrived. It is a show quality reproduction of the original 289 HiPo Air Cleaner Decal. I tried to put together some good images here, but the orange color of the decal that shows here on your monitors (all monitors will vary anyway) does not really show the actual color of the decal.

This decal is cool because it even features the clear lamination on the top like the original decal. Speaking of the color, the color is way different from the cheaper reproduction - DF15. This new decal is a much brighter orange. The fonts are correct and the printing is much, much sharper also.
