289 Hipo Fans are Back in Stock!

 

Many years ago, a very nice reproduction of the fan for 289 HiPo Mustangs was reproduced. Well, it is back again! We were able to get a few and now have them in stock.

As mentioned, it is a very nice reproduction with nice detail and correct looking rivets. It is very reasonably priced, especially considering some of the prices for used original fans that I have seen lately. These original High Performance Mustang fans seem to be getting harder and harder to find.

Strip Caulk Sealer

We now have both gray and black Strip Caulking. This was originally used as a sealer on Mustangs (and other cars) under fenders, drain hole covers, gas tanks, etc.

Gray and/or black was originally used on Mustangs depending upon the time and plant of production.

This sealer has so many other uses. It's great stuff!

We are excited to add a new gas tank sending unit to our line up.

All 1965 and 1966 Mustangs along with some 1967 models used a 5/16 inch fuel line, and we have a new sending unit in this size.

This unit features enhanced accuracy due to tighter tolerances in the internal unit.

It comes with the rubber o ring gasket, filter, and a brass float, like the original.

MOOG brand and Made in the USA. These are complete lower control arms with a very high quality ball joint properly riveted in along with the bushing on the mounting end.

These front suspension lower arms are actually a great improvement over the originals and were previously unavailable. Thousands have been used over the years in applications from everyday drivers to Mustangs regularly used on the race track.

New Part! 1966 Early Emergency Flasher Switch with Complete Wiring Harness

We get asked all the time about this one! We now have the early style (before 3-1-1966) emergency flasher switch for the 1966 Mustang. This four way flasher switch wired up a bit differently than the later one and includes the complete wiring harness.

We still have the later switch, which is made like the original in that it has the plug-in spade terminals on the back.

Gas Tank Sending Unit Lock Ring Tool

 

Fuel Tank Sending Unit Lock Ring Removal Tool for Mustang

This is a tool that every classic Mustang owner should have in their tool box. It is made to "grab" the locking ring that holds in the fuel tank sending unit. 

This works way better and is much safer than using a flat blade screwdriver or punch along with a hammer.

Dash pads for 1967 Mustangs in '67 red are now available.

The 1968 Mustangs used a much darker red (maroon) color for the interior and that one is available also.

Mustang and Shelby 289 High Performance HiPo Clutch Equalizer Bar

A very common part needing replacement on 1965 and 1966 Mustangs and GT350's with the 289 High Performance engines is the clutch equalizer bar.  Sometimes this part is referred to as the "z bar".  At any rate, originals are often bent, twisted, reinforced, repaired, and modified over the years.  It is even interesting to note in the Shelby American Automobile Club's Registry that there are many notes of these bars having been replaced on '65 and '66 GT350 Shelbys when they had just a few thousand miles.

Obviously, it is nearly impossible to find a good original.  Even if you do find one that looks good, there is a very good chance that it is twisted.

We now have exact reproductions of these equalizer bars in stock. 

This is a  Virginia Classic Mustang exclusive part and not like any of the others on the market. These also unpainted like the originals.

We have used them on our own cars, and they work fantastic.

These new seat side shields are polished stainless steel. Even better, they really have the appearance of chrome plating. They are absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately, we cannot capture how nice they are in pictures, but we can guarantee that you will not be disappointed!

Not only do they look beautiful, they are much heavier and more durable than the light weight aluminum ones.

New Part! 65-66 Mustang Windlace Retainer

We now have 1965 and 1966 Mustang Windlace Retainers. If you aren't familiar with where these little pieces go...take a look. These retainers hold the windlace as it makes the transition from the roof rail lip to the door post lip. There is a "gap" at the end of the dash where there is nothing to attach the windlace to.

These retainers were originally installed on every single Mustang to hold the windlace in this transition area. Lots of times these little retainers are removed and lost.

This new part is exactly like the original and even comes with the proper pan head attaching screw.

No wheel embodies the "feel" of the cars of the 1960s and early 1970s, like the American Racing Torq Thrust D. This timeless classic is available in a 15 x 7 one piece cast design with a 3.75 inch backspace for a very nice fit on any '65-73 Mustang.

We now have a nice quantity in stock and even have ones with black painted spokes with a satin finished machined rim for a really cool look. The traditional gray with the brighter machined rim is also available.

Run them with the included center cap and leave the center cap off for a great look like the early GT350 Shelby race cars.
