There were quite a few Mustangs at the local cruise in at the Harrisonburg (VA) First Church of the Nazarene on Friday evening, Sept. 5, 2014.  This is one of the largest cruise ins in the area.

Enjoy the pictures.

Donut Derelicts - Huntington Beach, CA - June 29, 2013

How about a cool '66 Mustang GT Fastback with American Torq-Thrust Wheels?
www.VirginiaClassicMustang.com

So...we attended SAAC-38 (the Shelby American Automobile Club's 38 Annual Convention) in Fontana, CA the other week.  First, we had some Disneyland time, and we just wanted to check out the "local" car scene.  We asked our "Shelby buddies" where all the cool kids go on Saturday morning.  Everyone gave us the same answer:  "Donut Derelicts" in Huntington Beach.  We weren't disappointed...it was awesome.

This cruise in is held every Saturday morning at Adams Ave. Donuts.  Apparently, lots of folks show up very early in the morning for the best parking spaces.  Things usually wrap up by 8:30 or 9:00 am.

There was a lot of cars and activity when we arrived.  It took a little while to figure out the deal with all of the TV cameras and the huge crowd surrounding one of the cars.  Turns out that the TV show, Overhaulin', was filming a "final segment" where the owner gets his car back...pretty cool!!!  Chip Foose and the whole gang was there.

Anyway, if you ever visit or happen to live in the area near Huntington Beach, CA, we would highly recommend checking this cruise in out!!

Enjoy some of the photos!

Boss, Shelby and Cobra Cruise In

In what is becoming an annual event every May, Larry Boyd from near Richmond, Virginia hosts a "casual" cruise in limited to Shelbys, Bosses and Cobras (real and replica.) I call it a "casual" show, because there are no dash plaques, trophies or awards, just folks checking out some rare cars and sharing information.

The turn out was great this year. There were four Boss 429's and a Shelby from each production year from 1965 to 1970. There were supposed to have been more, but the threat of rain kept some of the cars away. Enjoy the pictures that Larry sent.
