There is a fitting on the rear axle housing that acts as a vent. The rubber hose runs from the fitting through a grommet in the floor pan.

Here at Virginia Classic Mustang, we have put together an exact kit for the Rear End Vent Hose.

It's complete and includes exact copies of the ribbed rubber hose, clamp for the hose to the fitting, clamp for the hose to the body, screw for this clamp, and the rubber grommet for the hose to fit into the body.

This kit is correct for all models of 1965-70 Mustang and Shelby.

It's perfect for that everyday driver right up to that super high end restoration.

We now have the 65-73 Mustang Rear End Vent Hose with the correct ribs. This hose fits on rear end vent screw in nipple and runs to the floor pan.  The hose features the correct thickness, durometer and ribbed outer wall.  It's 17.25 inches long and made in the USA.

Our part number for the hose only is EG-553.

We also have a hose kit for the 65-70 (our part number EG-554) which includes the above hose, clamp for vent, clamp for floor pan, screw for clamp, and rubber grommet for floor pan.

We finally got these things in! They have been extremely popular parts, but the supplier has been out of them for quite some time. They came in today. We have both the short style and the long style.
