1965 Mustang High Performance Convertible Restoration Update

The hubcaps will go on today.  Two Cobra emblems were included in the 3 x 2  induction system offered by Ford.  We chose to mount them below the 289 High Performance emblems on the front fenders.

We have been posting about our 65 Mustang K Code 289 HiPo Project for quite some time.  Well, it is almost complete!!  As you can see, the interior is in, the convertible top is installed, and it is pretty much ready to go.  We will have more pictures soon.

This 65 Convertible was originally came with the popular White with Black Appointments interior color.

The 289 High Performance equipped Mustangs had a rubber strap installed on the cowl brace in order to hold up the heater hoses.

8000 RPM Rally Pac.  This option mounted to the steering column as shown and included a clock and a tachometer.  The 8000 RPM version was installed on the 289 HiPo Mustangs and a 6000 RPM tach was available for other V-8 models and 6 cylinder equipped Mustangs.
