Pictures from SAAC-36

1966 Shelby GT350's always look great in red!  Here is one in the Concours show area.

The Shelby American Automobile Club just held its 36th annual convention at Virginia International Raceway.  It was a fantastic event as usual.  If you ever have an opportunity to attend one of these meets, please do so.  You will never have the chance to see so many Shelby American cars at one venue.  Oh, I should mention that I am a very big fan of 1965 and 1966 GT350's, and I just noticed that most of my pictures are of these cars.  I'll make another post soon with more pictures, including ones from the track.

Here is another nice '66 Shelby with the optional ten spoke wheels.

How about a pretty much unrestored 1965 Shelby GT350?  Cars like this are fantastic references for  restoring a  '65.  This one was a great example.

Another cool '65 Shelby with the optional Cragar wheels.

Still another '65 GT350.  This one is For Sale.  With the rarity of '65 GT350's, it is just amazing to see so many at one place.

Here is a 1965 GT350 that has been race prepped.

Weber carburetors just look so cool!  Here is a shot of the engine compartment of a friend's '66 Shelby.
