SAAC 39 Shelby Convention at Road America

The Shelby American Automobile Club (SAAC) just held their 39th annual convention (SAAC39) at Road America Raceway in Elkhart Lake, WI May 15-17, 2014. It was a great time! It's always fun to see all of the Shelbys and related vehicles and even better to see old friends and meet new ones.

One of the highlights of our trip was visiting Perkins Restoration. We have known Bob for over 30 years but had never had the opportunity to visit his shop. He graciously hosted an open house last Wednesday and Thursday for folks attending SAAC39.

We knew that he had lots of cool cars, parts, and memorabilia, but honestly, it was overwhelming to see his incredible collection. From rare factory drag Mustangs to a '66 Mustang with 56 miles to rare Ford banners to rare accessories and parts...the list goes on.

This post is rather picture heavy, but if you like Mustangs (of course you do, you are reading this Blog!), you will enjoy the pictures.
