69-70 Firewall to Steering Column Seal

Here is another one of those neat little parts that you may have overlooked and don't even know that it is available. It's the rubber steering column seal that you see at the firewall in the engine compartment on 1969 and 1970 model Mustangs.

This part is not a simple die cut piece like the ones for the 1965-66 and 1967-68 Mustangs that we also offer. This seal is actually molded in rubber like the original. The original blue prints from Ford were used to make this seal exactly like the original. It is easily visible from the engine compartment area and almost always needs replacing. Just another nice little detail for your restoration.

Here is another new part that just arrived. This is the brace that welds to the center of the back of the tail light panel in the trunk. It is the part that the gas filler neck passes through. We have had them for 65-66 Mustangs (SM990 for Coupes and Fastbacks/SM991 for Convertibles) and 67-68 models. The new part is for 69-70 Mustangs and is part number SM9981.

We get lots of calls for the transmission support braces (crossmember) for Mustangs. Well, they are finally available and in stock. The 65-66 model is part number EG2334 and features the parking brake bracket like the original. The 67-68 model is part number EG2335.

John Murphy's 1965 Mustang GT Fastback

You just have to check out the November 2008 issue of Mustang Monthly Magazine. Our friend, Jim Smart has put together another great article. 65-67 289 High Performance Harmonic Balancer

Here is a cool item that just arrived. It is a very, very nice reproduction of the 65-67 289 Hi-Po Harmonic Balancer. Original ones are getting more difficult to find, so we are glad to see this on the market. It is just like the original except for the C50E part number and FoMoCo Logo, and you can't see these anyway once the crank pulley is on the engine.

Customer Car Feature-1966 Mustang Coupe

We want to thank Jimmy Stephens from Tennessee for sending us pictures and information about his nice Candy Apple Red 1966 Mustang Coupe.

Jimmy purchased this car just two months ago. It was last painted in 1998 and also has a restored interior. It was originally built in San Jose, CA in November of 1965. During the mid '90's the body and paint work was done along with the engine and transmission rebuild by an owner in Michigan. The last owners had the car for the last seven years performing minor improvements. The car has been used for car shows and cruise in's for the last seven years. It was the last owner's engagement present!

Some of the improvements include power steering and a "Daily Driver" Air Conditioning system along with chrome accessories in the engine compartment.

Jimmy sold his '06 Honda Civic and plans to use this '66 Mustang as his everyday, daily driver.

65-66 Mustang Instrument Bezel with Woodgrain

If you have a '65 or '66 Mustang with the Deluxe "Pony" Interior, you should have an instrument bezel and glove box door with the woodgrain insert.

You are probably looking at the picture and saying "These Instrument Bezels have been available for years!" Well, these are a bit different. This bezel features Metal Woodgrain Inserts like our Glove Box Doors. With these Metal Inserts, you do not have to worry about the vinyl decal material peeling or shrinking like on the cheaper ones (we still have these also -IN4.)
