Virginia Classic Mustang Visits Arizona

We recently returned from Arizona and wanted to share some pictures of the cool places that we visited. The reason for our visit was to check out one of the 85 original 4 speed equipped 1966 GT350H Hertz Shelby "rent-a-racers". We owned the car over 30 years ago! Marcus Anghel at Anghel Restorations is handling the restoration in his very nice shop. A Grabber Blue 1970 Boss 302 was also going together in his shop.

We then visited one of our favorite suppliers, Kevin Marti at Marti Auto Works. Kevin, of course, does the famous "Marti Report", made possible by his agreement with Ford in handling all of the Ford vehicle data from 1967 up. He's one of our favorite suppliers due to his attention to detail. We handle a complete line of Marti Auto Works products simply because they believe in quality like we do at Virginia Mustang.

There are quite a few reproductions of radiator hoses, heater hoses, and other items on the market, but Marti's items are Made in the USA and are far superior to others.

Both Marcus and Kevin have very nice collections of Ford and Mustang memorabilia and signs. Check out our pictures and enjoy!

If you are a regular reader of our Virginia Classic Mustang Blog, you definitely know that we are a huge fan of the 1965 and 1966 HiPo K Code Mustangs. When we learned that one of a friend/customer of ours was going to put this gorgeous HiPo Coupe up for sale, we told him to let us know as soon as he posted the listing.

This is one of the earlier built cars like our HiPo convertible...it has a scheduled build date of early September 1964. Because of this, it features a few earlier '64 1/2 style items.

There are lots of cool features on this particular car starting with the mostly original Palomino interior, including the carpet. It even still has those early "no groove" brake and clutch pedals along with the early style 4 speed shift lever.

The original stamped engine and transmission sure make it desirable also. The dual redline spare tire is original and like new! Optional styled steel wheels with redline radials look really great against the rare Prairie Bronze exterior. Original date coded seat belts, original owners manual, engine tag, unused ashtray, and more add to the desirable mix.
