1965-66 GT350 Cobra Aluminum Oil Pan

Just thought that I would post these pictures of a restored Aluminum Cobra Oil Pan. This was the pan that was originally installed on the 65-66 GT350 Mustangs. This pan was was sprayed with a clear epoxy primer and then low gloss clear. This gives the pan a nice protective finish, yet it does not look at all like it has been painted. The "fins" on the oil pan were then polished. Other details are listed as captions on the photos.

67 Shelby Tail Light Extension Plug Set

Here is a new and unique part that we now have in stock. It is the Tail Light Extension Plug Set for a 1967 Shelby Mustang. The Part Number is ER5812, and one set does both sides. It is designed to splice into the regular wiring harness, kind of like the originals did.

1965 Mustang GT Coupe Raffle Winner

The other week, we posted about a Mustang Raffle taking place at http://www.winagtmustang.com/. We had several of our readers ask if we had any details about the outcome of the raffle. Kenyon Wurster from Uftring Auto Mall sent us this picture and information over this past weekend.

Kenyon says that the winner was John Wilson from Canton, IL. He purchased $300.00 worth of raffle tickets on Saturday morning after listening to a radiothon promoting the raffle all night at work. A 1965 Mustang is his mother's dream car, since it is the year that she graduated from high school. She will have to learn to drive a manual transmission equipped car though!

The pictures shows Gary Uftring (owner of the dealership), Mari Osborne (Children's Hospital representative), John Wilson (winner), Kenyon Wurster (Uftring Auto Mall employee who put the whole thing together) and John Riely (radio DJ.)

Over $28,000 was raised for Children's Hospital of Illinois.

Made in the Original Ford Tooling! 1969-70 Step Plates

This is an absolutely great new part that just became available. It is the 1969-70 Mustang Step Plate made in the Original Ford Tooling. We call them Step Plates, but we have heard them also called Scuff Plates or Sill Plates. Anyway, these are a lot nicer than the current reproductions. They are even much better than some of the NOS (New Old Stock) ones that you may find. Repairs have been made to this original tooling since these last service parts were made.

These step plates fit all body styles of the 1969-70 Mustangs. They feature very nice detail and come with a protective plastic film. For many years, the Ford Service Parts have been made from brushed aluminum (possibly because of lower cost material.) The step plates that were originally installed on the assembly line were made from polished aluminum. These are made just like the originals!
