It's October, and that means it is time again for a group of friends to get together for our annual GT350 Shelby Mustang Tour. This year, there were a few more cars...22 total. We had eight-yes, eight!-'65s, nine '66s, four '67s, and a '69 convertible. Folks came from all over the country, and there were even two couple who trailered their cars 44 hours from Canada!
There are many ways to enjoy our cars, but this has got to be one of the best...at least for me! This time we were in the Adirondack Region of New York.
Over the past 33 years of ownership, my '65 GT350 has been driven quite sparingly and has been shown in the judged category of a few SAAC national conventions, so it was time for it to join the Tour. Fortunately, we discovered that it doesn't melt in the rain!
Day 1 consisted of about 225 miles of back road driving, a lunch stop, and a Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Factory visit.
So...22 GT350s, 4 days, 715 miles, and 44 great friends...it doesn't get any better. Enjoy the pictures and look for Part 2 soon.
