Hi-Performance Motors was a dealership started in Los Angeles by Lew Spencer, a Cobra team driver, and Carroll Shelby. In addition to handling Cobra sales, Morgans and Sunbeam Alpines and Tigers were also sold. The plan was to handle new GT350 Shelby Mustangs, but Shelby American's policy of only certain Ford dealers handling these cars supposedly prevented this, although we have seen a new 66 GT350 with an original window sticker from Hi-Performance Motors.
They did also sold used GT350s which included company and public relation cars.
The license plate frames from the dealership are extremely rare. The reproduction offered is just super nice. They are very accurate right down to the manufacturer's name, Robert W. Brown & Co. Inc. Downey, Calif. cast into the back of the frame.
