We have a few more pictures today of the restoration of 1966 Carryover GT350 Shelby # 6S033 as Jeremy at Maple Hill Restoration continues to get pieces ready for assembly.
The rear bumper brackets originally had zinc plated square nuts mounted in the black plated brackets. The originals were restored by having them plated and then painting the black.

The original nine inch Ford rear end housing is now completely restored with the correct small bleeder wheel cylinders, new 3.89 ring and pinion gear, new metal lines, new rubber brake hose, re-lined brake shoes with matched rear drums, other new or rebuilt items, and a complete refinishing of the housing, differential and various parts.

The Shelby's brake and clutch pedal assembly for mounting under the dash was completely cleaned and refinished with new bushings installed.

The heater controls, cables, knobs, levers, and bezels have also been restored for the Shelby, and the assembly is ready to go back in.

The original driveshaft is also ready. The original markings and number stencil were duplicated.

The GT350's instrument bezel was also restored with an NOS bezel that we have had forever. It's finely going on a car! Note the date on the back side of the instrument panel - June 17, 1965.
