It's BLUE!!! Sapphire Blue to be exact!
Hopefully, you have been following along as we document the restoration of 1966 Shelby Mustang GT350 SFM6S933. This is such a great car...complete, all original components, rust free, and now finished in its original Sapphire Blue color.
For you folks who love the "no stripes" look, this car originally was delivered sans LeMans stripes, and that's the way it will be finished. It was equipped with the optional ten spokes wheels, which stayed with the car all these years. They were nice, but hey, they are over 50 years old. They were gently "restored", and we cannot wait to see them on the car!
Again, the restoration is being performed by Jeremy at Maple Hill Restoration. Take a look at these pictures. Like us, you will agree that it probably should be called "art" rather than restoration.
