I mentioned a few weeks ago that you would start seeing more progress on our early 65 Mustang HiPo Convertible project. Well, Jeremy at Maple Hill Restoration is rolling along now. Here are the latest images.
As you can see, everything has been primed for the final time and sanded. These pictures show how Jeremy has painted the dash and interior panels in white. You can also see how the original dark red primer was matched for the underside of the fenders and then the body color was applied as original-same way with the rear valance, but with the gray primer like original.
This week the front valance, headlight bucket assemblies and front stone deflector will be done along with the underside of the car! Being an early production Dearborn built car, you will eventually see that the underside will be painted black with the Poppy Red overspray like original.
Stay tuned...
