New Pertronix "Stock Look" Distributor for Small Block Ford

Our brand new Pertronix Ignitor® "Stock-Look" cast aluminum distributor is here!  We are very impressed with this part.  It will fit 260, 289, and 302 Small Block Ford Engines.
www.VirginiaClassicMustang.com

We are really excited about this new product!  This is an all new, cast aluminum distributor made by Pertronix. This distributor fits all Mustangs (and all Fords, of course) with 260, 289, 302 Small Block Engines.  This distributor features a stock looking cast aluminum housing that is modeled after the original distributor.  The entire unit is completely brand new and made in the USA.

The electrical component of the distributor consists of the original, tried-and-true, Pertronix Ignitor®.  We started handling the original Ignitor® a very long time ago and have been extremely impressed with its performance.  It is just a very nice product.

This distributor comes complete with a high quality rotor and black distributor cap.  It also features an adjustable vacuum advance unit.  The advance curve is tailored for optimum performance and drivability.  It is legal in all 50 states (C.A.R.B. E.O. #D-57-23).  It has a 30 month warranty on the electronic and limited 1 year warranty on the mechanical part.

Since it is an assembled, brand new unit, it is, of course, ready to go and easy to install.

I think lots of people overlook how important a properly set up distributor can be to the performance of a Mustang.  Lots of times, these old distributors are just worn out, and a new, quality distributor like this can make a huge difference in the drivability .

Our part number is EG-6611.

1968 Mustang Fastback Quarter Panel Assembly

1968 Mustang Fastback Full Quarter Panel Assembly.
www.VirginiaClassicMustang.com

We have had great luck with our full quarter panels for the '68 Mustang Fastback, but they have previously only been available in the late production style that used the bolt on style quarter panel reflector.

We now have the 68 Mustang Fastback quarters for the early production 1968's.  These quarters are like the others in that they nice reproductions of the Ford full quarter panel sheet metal.  These early style quarters have the indentation for the early style quarter reflector that used the body color painted bezel.  The transition occurred around February of 1968.

Here are the part numbers:

We have been posting about our original paint 1964 1/2 289 High Performance Mustang Coupe.  There are a lot of original pieces still on this car, which provides a great resource for studying original details on Mustangs.

Mustang Chrome Air Cleaner Assemblies

Our show quality Mustang open element chrome air cleaner assemblies feature a correct chrome lid, correct reproduction air filer and correct base.
www.Virginia ClassicMustang.com

Our Chrome Air Cleaner Assemblies are very popular items, and we often get several questions about these parts.  The questions often involve the bases, so we wanted to take a closer look at these today.  We will be talking specifically about the Exact Reproductions.  These are our part numbers EG-124 and EG-145.  These air cleaners were originally installed on all of the 65-66 HiPo Mustangs and GT350.  They were also part of the Engine Dress Up Kits that were available as over-the-counter accessories at Ford dealers.

www.VirginiaClassicMustang.com

Both of these styles come with a very nice chrome plated top lid that is very, very close in configuration to the original air cleaner lid.  These assemblies also include the reproduction of the original air filter.  The difference in the two parts is the base.

Our EG-124 Chrome Air Cleaner has the blue base with the nipple for the hose the runs to the oil filler cap.  This emission system with the oil cap and hose was used on cars built for delivery to California, including all GT350 Shelbys.  Most of the 65 models and early 66's had a gold painted base, so if you have one of these cars, you will have to repaint the blue base with the gold paint.  This nipple was sometimes originally capped off for Mustangs that may have not used this system.

The base on our EG-145 Mustang chrome air cleaner assembly does not have the nipple for the oil cap hose.
www.VirginiaClassicMustang.com

Our EG-145 Chrome Air Cleaner, of course, features the same great quality, chrome lid and air filter, but the base is painted gold and does not include the nipple for the oil cap/emissions hose.
