69-70 Mustang Polished Stainless Steel Step Plates

Step plates, sill plates, or whatever you want to call them-they often need replacing if you have the originals on your Mustang. We have the Ford Tooling ones like the originals, the reproductions for the budget-minded buyer, and polished stainless steel ones.

The polished stainless steel step plates for the 69-70 Mustang are brand new items that are now in stock. These step plates are more durable than the original, softer aluminum plates, and the polished stainless steel has a "chrome-like" look.

65-67 Mustang Fuel Sending Unit with 5/16" Inlet

We have been selling Classic Mustang parts for over 25 years now. During that time, there has never been a Gas Tank/Fuel Sending Unit available with a 5/16 inch inlet. All of the 65-early 67 Mustang originally had a 5/16 inch fuel line. The service replacement part from Ford has had a 3/8 inch inlet tube for over 30 years. It was not really a big deal, because a 5/16 inch hose could be made to work.

It is just nice that the correct one is now available. Not only does it have the correct inlet tube size, it is stainless steel construction along with the original style brass float. All units are tested by the manufacturer before being shipped.

We also have cheaper "standard" sending units. Give us a call or check our web site.

Customer Car-1966 Mustang Convertible

We want to thank Mac Osborne for sending us some pictures of his 1966 Mustang Convertible, along with one of his son enjoying the ride. Mac's car is the same color, Ivy Green, as the convertible on the cover of our 2009 Catalog. Mac told us that his car has always been a Virginia car and was originally sold in Fredericksburg. It was restored in the mid '70's and sold to an old customer of ours back in 1981. Our customer kept the convertible in a heated garage for over 20 years and sold it to a dentist in 2003. That dentist happened to mention the car to Mac at one of his dental appointments just last year. It turns out that Mac's dentist just did not use the car much and decided to sell it.

After the sale, the long time previous owner contacted Mac with more information about the car along with lots of old Virginia Classic Mustang Catalogs. We look forward to helping Mac maintain his Mustang by supplying parts and advice.
