Today, we have some more pictures of the 1967 Shelby GT500 that Jeremy at Maple Hill Restoration is working on. Again, if you missed the other posts, this is what I'm calling a "clean up" restoration. This Shelby is just a super nice, original car, and the owner has chosen to have Jeremy thoroughly check it out, make sure it is 100% reliable and functional, clean it up while maintaining its originality.
Sometimes it's tough to not "cross the line" in an endeavor such as this and go too far with the "restoration", but it is possible, and we think this already fantastic car is going to be so much better when it leaves Jeremy's shop.

We had a lot of questions about various date codes on this Shelby, so we wanted to cover a few of them today. This is car number 2940 with a San Jose build date of around the first part of June 1967. Most of the parts on the car are original to the car, and here are a few dates on various items:
