Mustang Radiator Fan Spacers

Finally!!! We now have a very nice, original looking fan spacer for your Mustang. When you install a larger (thicker core) radiator in your car, it is often necessary to use a shorter fan spacer. Up until now, you had to use one of those "universal" style spacers. They do the job, but it is a whole lot nicer to use an original looking fan spacer.

We just got these in. They look just like originals and are 2 1/4 inches in length. They are available in a natural aluminum finish like the original and a cool custom polished aluminum finish.

Check them out or order by click on the part number below.

  1. Mine has the ford script on the nub. Must be original, so these aren't "just like original", but are very nice.

  2. Yes, you are correct. I just meant that they look like the original in terms of construction and appearance. There was not an original spacer made in this exact size either, but it should work well for many applications.

  3. What is the exact size of a factory original fan spacer. If I'm measuring mine correctly, it looks like 2 7/8". Does this seem correct? I put on a flex a lite 2" spacer, but now I'm 1 1/4" from radiator. Is this distance alright?

  4. There were many different sizes depending on options, model, engine, etc.

If you do not have a fan shroud, the fan should be pretty close to the radiator-of course, not too close that it may hit though.

If you do have a fan shroud, you want the fan to set just inside or right at the end of the shroud, so the shroud can do its job of drawing the air.

  5. Noticed on your site in it mentions the bolt kit associated with this size of space. When you input the part number, it states 0 records found? Do you still sell this piece? So would you think without the shroud, 1.25" is too far away? Is bringing it in another .25" going to make a difference?

  6. Here is the link for the bolt kit:

The 1/4" difference that you talk about probably will not make a noticeable difference.
