289 HiPo (K Code) Choke Cable Grommet and Radio Delete Grommet - Now Available

1965 and 1966 289 HiPo K Code and Shelby Choke Cable Grommet at Firewall
We are so excited to announce the availability of two new rubber grommets!

We now have the 1965 and 1966 Rubber Grommet for where the manual choke cable enters the engine compartment from the firewall. The manual choke cable was used on all 289 High Performance equipped (K code) Mustangs. Of course, this also included all of the Shelby GT350 Mustangs.

We have reproduced this grommet here in the U.S.A. in brand new tooling using the correct rubber compound, just like the original.

We even duplicated the original "M" cast in letter...again, exactly like the original.

These grommets always need replacement if you even still have the original. Most originals are missing.

1965 and 1966 Mustang and Shelby Radio Delete Antenna Hole Grommet
Most folks don't know, but the exact same grommet was used in 1965 and 1966 Mustangs that did not get a radio option (commonly referred to as "radio delete"). The only difference was that the grommet was solid and not "punched" with a hole.

This grommet plugged the hole in the passenger side apron behind the front fender where the antenna cable and grommet would run if the car was equipped with a radio.

This grommet can be accessed in the interior of the car also behind the passenger side kick panel.

We also made this from brand new tooling using the correct rubber compound and duplicating that "M" marking for a 100% exact part.

Best of all, it's made in the U.S.A. also!
