Customer Car - 1967 Mustang GT Coupe with Low, Low Mileage

1967 Mustang GT Coupe with original paint.
www.VirginiaClassicMustang.com

We recently had the opportunity to quickly check out a customer's Mustang when he brought it to our shop.  It is quite a unique Mustang.  It is a 67 Mustang GT Coupe.  That's kind of cool in its own right, but this one is equipped with some neat options: a 4 speed transmission, styled steel wheels, radial tires (yes, radial tires!), comfort weave upholstery (but not deluxe interior), deluxe woodgrain steering wheel, and a 289 4V engine.  Even more unique is the fact that the Mustang was not ordered with a radio and still has the factory "radio delete" bezel.  To top it all off, it only has 12,000 original miles and still sports its original paint and interior!  I found it particularly unusual that this Mustang is equipped with the GT package but has a single exhaust system.  Enjoy the pictures!  Also be sure to check out the captions/comments under each image.

Styled steel wheel with factory Michelin Radial Tire.  I found it unusual that the styled steel wheels are painted black on the little hole pad where the lug nut holes are located.  All five wheels are like this.  Each wheel also has a bolt in metal valve stem, rather than a rubber one.  I'm not sure if either of these things may have been added by the original owner.

Still More Photos from the Monterey Historic Races - 2012

2012 Monterey Historic Races at Laguna Seca.

Our buddy, Dave, who shot the Bonneville and Pebble Beach mages, also went to the Monterey Historic Races at Laguna Seca Raceway.  These are from Saturday, and I think they are the best batch of pictures that Dave has shared.  Enjoy the photos!

Just the Details...1965 Mustang Convertible Restoration

The body on the 65 Mustang Convertible has been prepared for paint.  Here the car is still taped up after painting the interior floors Twilight Turquoise body color.
www.VirginiaClassicMustang.com

Jeremy Turner at Maple Hill Restoration continues work on his 1965 Mustang Convertible.  This is a cool car as it will be equipped with a 6 cylinder engine, the rare Dagenham 4 Speed transmission, air conditioning and a Rally-Pac.  It will be painted Twilight Turquoise with a white with black appointments interior and a white convertible top.  It will be a beautiful Mustang.

As with all of Jeremy's restorations, the detail on this Mustang is amazing.  Enjoy the pictures showing the beginning of the paint process.

Here is a shot of the holes that were drilled in the inner rocker and seat riser pan.  These access holes enabled Jeremy to clean out these "inside" areas on the Mustang.  He then primed and painted these areas.
